Dear all,
From term 2 onwards, the school would like all (meaning all subjects) classes to start with a short time of show and share. Mathematics and Additional Mathematics periods are not exempted.
So, what will happen is that each of you will take turns to present a topic of your choice, related to mathematics, right at the start of the lesson. You have a maximum of 5 minutes.
Those with even register numbers will be presenting during Mathematics lessons.
Those with odd register numbers will be presenting during Additional Mathematics lessons.
You may choose to present an interesting question, a biography of a famous mathematician or some topic that is beyond the syllabus. To help you along, I've listed out some topics that are of interest to me, you might want to present on one of them.

I can infer that Source K is trying to say that the declining birthrate in Singapore is hard to reverse. It is evident in "...the government can do very little to address the problem of declining birth rate." The government is the strongest influence in Singapore and the fact that the government cannot do much means that the situation is quite dire.

The purpose of the source is to convince the government that their efforts to urge women to have a child is useless. No matter how hard the government tries, career women will be more focussed on their career instead of having a child, so their efforts will be fruitless. The person who made the comment probably did not want the government to continue its futile efforts.

Thank you for electing me to be your president. No really, thanks. Way to break your 220 year streak of electing old white guys. Super-impressive.

Anyway, great to be here. I can't imagine anything more wonderful than being the president of the greatest nation in the world.
